Introduction :
SOCIAL WELFARE ORGANOSATION FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT ( SWORD NGO ) has been working for the empowerment of women, children and vulnerable community in different parts of Krishnagiri dist. 17 years of its service towards the community Development has enabled the organization towards rendering diversified services to different sections of the society.
Vision of the organisation :
To promote socio, economic, political rights and gender justice of women and the deprived community.
Objectives of the organization :
To work for the empowerment of women and enforcement of human rights.
To protect and promote Child rights
To protect rights of the depressed women and the weaker sections of the society.
To address the issues of women, against the atrocities on women and violation of Human rights.
To enforce gender justice and gender equality among the community.
To protect the Environment, land, water and promote Natural Resource Management.
To undertake women’s educational including vocational Training programmes and community health programmes.
To provide awareness education to adolescent girls on health, psychological development during adolescent age, decision making and sexual health.
To create awareness on HIV / AIDS among the High Risk Groups in 3 block of Dharmapuri district.
To provide rehabilitation, treatment, counseling and care centers for the victims of Below Poverty area.
To engage in rehabilitation work directly or through other agencies or organization for the victims of natural disaster.
To Network with likeminded organization working for the same cause
